Keerim Design offers Web solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses in the UK and Europe. The company previously traded successfully as Ballybar Solutions in the Irish market for five years.
In association with Cobra-cms, Keerim Design offers 'Content Managed' sites with many interactive features. To let the product speak for itself, six Sample Sites have been developed. These sites are not complete, or fully styled, and are offered solely to show the range of possibilities.
The Sample Sites
- 1. Simple Brochure
- A standard printed brochure has been adapted for the Web. The style of the brochure has been maintained and has a very high graphical content. It is for information and contact only. There are no interactive features. Any printed brochure is capable of being adapted.
- 2. Complex Brochure
- This is a brochure with interactive features. Groups of people can logon to the site and be offered different information. There is a simple Blog included and a private messaging system to contact groups and individuals.
- 3. School, Club or Society
- A site offered to show how many authors could be used to develop and maintain a site. It addition, security features and the use of group membership to modify the menu items displayed are demonstrated.
- 4. eCommerce
- This product fits neatly into the medium-sized business category. Using an external shopping cart, RomanCart, a solution has been developed that can handle up to 1,000 products with multiple variants. Methods are available to make the management of the site semi-automatic and easy for a company with limited staffing to maintain its product catalogue.
- 5. Hotel
- Using the same principles as the Store, the Hotel will utilises the RomanCart booking system. This provides a cost-effective and robust solution for the smallest B&B, holiday lets, or a hotel with a maximum of 100 rooms. It has more features than the majority of current, commercial booking engines.
- 6. Gallery
- An excellent example of Content Management. Images need to be changed regularly and easily. Cobra-cms makes this simple and will even resize and optimise the images.
Business Model
Keerim Design offers a total solution that spreads the cost for a business over a number of years. Some of the up-front costs will be absorbed and built into a package that includes development, maintenance, hosting and all other aspects of ensuring a successful on-going Web experience. The product is offered at a fixed annual price over an agreed number of years. If you want to call that a lease - well maybe.
