Tourism Sites
Tourism sites are essential for the humblest B&B to the grandest hotel, campsite, caravan park or tourist board.
The requirements are very similar:
- A bright attractive Brochure site to display the best features of the establishment
- Information about the local area, facilities, amenities and entertainment.
- Lots of attractive pictures or brief Flash video presentations.
- Some method of booking.
For a smaller establishment a simple static site is probably adequate as a starting point. Bookings can be taken through a simple contact form that requires the owner to repond by 'phone or email to an enquiry. If a booking engine is already used, it can be incorporated into the site, If not, why not consider a simple, cost effective booking system such as the RomanCart Booking sytem. There is an example of it working on the Hotel Sample Site. A static site solution is only appropriate if there are very few changes to make during the year.

For most establishments, the only answer is a content managed solution linked to a booking engine. The advanages are:
- Booking can be 'live'.
- Accommodation can be updated as required.
- Prices can be varied immediately, making the publishing of 'Special Offers' instant and reversible instantly.
- Local events can be published as their details become available. Equally important, they can be deleted as soon as they are over.
- Any member of staff can be trained to use the system, making every day changes a breeze.
