Costing a Site
The following must be considered:
- A domain name, keerim.co.uk for example, which is the cheapest of your outlays.
- Hosting - Get your site on a good quality, local server that will be stable and quick.
- Design - impossible to quantify, because it depends what you want. However, think about £ 50 per hour.
- Putting the data/ images into the site. Again, it depends on the complexity.
- A Content management System. We use Cobra-cms, which costs £ 825 + VAT and an annual maintenance cost of £ 150 + VAT
- Costs when the site is changed/updated. This is where Web developers win, because every change has a cost - sometimes very high.

Keerim Design in association with Cobra-cms will take away the uncertainties and offer an annual contract over a five-year period at a fixed annual rate. This reduces the initial high costs and spreads the load over a period of time.
Starting at £ 1,400 or € 2,000 + VAT (if appropriate) per annum we will offer a complete service, to include:
- Hosting and domain registration.
- Purchase and annual maintenance of Cobra-cms.
- Initial design and development of the site.
- On-going development of the site.
- All changes during the year - subject to a 'fair use' agreement.
- Search Engine optimisation.
- E-mail campaigns designed if required - at an additional annual fee.
