Things to be considered
- What do you want the site to look like?
- The easy answer is that you can have any design you like: from your imagination, your own designer or something that has inspired you on-line.
- Who provides the content?
- Ideally you - after all you know the business better than anyone else. Providing the content yourself is the cheapest option. So be prepared to provide text, preferably in Word format or plain text, and images or photographs. Once supplied, preparing the content for the Web is up to us.
- What interactive facilities do you require?
- It is up to you. They are available at the standard price.
- How do you promote your site?
- There is a page in the e-Commerce section that will be of interest to you - Go to 'Promoting the Site'
- How often should the site be changed?
- The answer is as often as possible. The 'Search Engines' - Google, Yahoo, etc. - visit your site several times a month. If it doesn't change they assume that the site is probably dead and it starts to drop down the rankings.
- How do I get to the top of Google?
- Firstly, have your site written in a 'Search Engine Friendly' way. Search engines love text, links, the correct flow of the code and what is known as 'semantically correct' coding. This is the foundation of our work. Most sites will rise to the top of Google quickly, but if you require more Google will happily take money off you for 'Adwords', i.e. pay Google to raise you to the top. More information at - 'Google'.
- What is the 'best option'?
- In our opinion, pay a little bit more and opt for a good Content Managed site, which will offer:
- - easy changing and updating
- - search facilities
- - secure user area option
- - messaging
