We have finally got round to updating all the social media that we use: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
We do not underestimate the amount of time and energy that this process takes and, to be honest, we have not been the greatest company in practising what we preach.
We maintain Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for a number of companies and, inevitably, our social media gets left to the end of the queue. That is going to change.
Why the image of a frozen lake in Estonia? Other than the fact that it is just down the road from where we work for part of the year, it matches the theme of our Home page banner. This shows Spring and Summer in the UK, Autumn in Ireland and Winter in Estonia. All social media banners have been changed to winter in Estonia. That’s part of the trick: keep your social media refreshed and alive.
How does one cope with the demands of social media? The answer is probably the age-old solution of time management or pay someone else to do it. It would be silly for us to pay someone else, so the only thing to do is to put a few minutes on one side a day and, probably, a longer period weekly.
Of course, you have the option of employing us, or another company to do it. That’s probably a sensible choice, as it’s not expensive and we are sure that you can spend your time doing what you do best, whatever that is.
We are not in the game of marketing ourselves, but it would be nice to have more ‘Likes’, ‘Tweets’, etc. We don’t have the client base to warrant that. However, many companies should consider Facebook marketing, especially if their products or services are appropriate.
